Please join the Judges of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia, as well as the Clerk of the Court, Bankruptcy Trustees and Practitioners from throughout the country on June 1, 2018 in Roanoke.

(There is no cost to attend the conference; if you choose to eat lunch at the hotel, the cost is $10.00 per person payable to Holiday Inn at the event.)

This year’s program will feature a panel exploring options for debtors to address student loans in bankruptcy, including the various federal repayment programs. Breakout sessions will also be available for law office personnel. Materials will be made available in advance of the Conference in electronic format. Statement on Continuing Legal Education:  Last year’s conference was approved for six and one-half (6.5) hours of continuing legal education in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is anticipated that similar credit will be sought for this year’s conference from the Virginia State Bar. Any participant seeking additional approval from other states and/or governing bodies should make independent inquiry of his or her respective governing bodies for such additional credit.
