Judge Black and Judge Connelly received a request from the bar to add an additional confirmation hearing to be held before March 27, 2021, because the temporary provision of section 1329(d) of the Bankruptcy Code will sunset (meaning it will expire) on March 27, 2021.  See section 1113(b)(2)(A)(iii) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.  Based on the uncertainty of any legislative action to extend such sunset date, the  judges agree to accommodate the request, and both Judge Connelly and Judge Black will provide an additional hearing date in March for hearings on confirmation of chapter 13 plans.

Chief Judge Black will hold an additional chapter 13 hearing on March 24, 2021, at 9:30 AM by video using Zoom software.  For hearing access information, please contact Sabrina Lee at Sabrina_Lee@vawb.uscourts.gov.  Any chapter 13 matters in any of Judge Black’s locations may be set for this date, or continued to this date for hearing, as long as necessary notice is consistent with Rules 2002, 7004, or any other applicable Rules
