Announcement of the Selection of James W. Reynolds as Clerk of Court for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia

The Judges of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia take great pleasure in announcing that James W. Reynolds has been selected to succeed John W. L. Craig, II as Clerk of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia.  Mr. Reynolds received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond in 1988 and his law degree from the College of William and Mary in 1991.  He then served as law clerk to the Honorable Hal J. Bonney, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia at Norfolk.  Mr. Reynolds practiced law in Reston, Virginia for many years.  He was a shareholder with the law firm of Odin, Feldman, and Pittleman, P.C., where he had a diverse bankruptcy and creditor’s rights practice, representing both individual and business debtors, as well as creditors and Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 Trustees. In 2014, Mr. Reynolds joined the staff of the Clerk’s Office of the United States Bankruptcy Court in Alexandria, Virginia, where he is currently the Division Manager.  Mr. Reynolds is expected to take office February 20, 2018, following completion of standard background checks.  The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia maintains Clerk’s offices in Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Harrisonburg, Virginia.
