The Bankruptcy Law Section of the Virginia State Bar will be hosting its 2017 Annual Bankruptcy Practice Seminar on Friday, March 17, from 8:30am – 4:45pm, at The Westin Richmond.  This is our annual, informative program, providing an opportunity to network, discuss strategies, and learn practice tips in some of the most fundamental areas of bankruptcy practice in Virginia.  The seminar will once again allow you to interact with Bankruptcy Judges and top practitioners from across Virginia.  Topics covered include:
 
       Recent bankruptcy case law in Virginia, the Fourth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court
       The claims objection and allowance process
       Litigating relief stay motions in commercial cases
       Practical considerations for the Chapter 11 confirmation process
       Alternative methods for shutting down and winding up the affairs of a defunct business
       Ethics
 
(6.5 hours of live-interactive MCLE credit, including 1.0 hours of Ethics have been applied for)
