Communication Access Coordinator

The Access Coordinator is responsible for coordinating sign language interpreters or other appropriate auxiliary aids and services to participants in federal court proceedings who are deaf, hearing-impaired, or have other communications disabilities.
Individuals participating in federal court proceedings who require the assistance of a qualified sign language interpreter or other similar auxiliary aides and services must submit requests for services in advance of the court proceeding involved. When submitting your request, please state that it relates to a bankruptcy case.
Please direct all requests for services or for additional information to:

Interpreters
In situations that do not involve hearing-impairment (see above), the bankruptcy court does not provide interpreters/translators for court hearings, unless the proceedings are instituted by the United States (e.g., the United States Trustee, Internal Revenue Service, or similar U.S. agency). Subject to this limited exception, the parties are responsible for securing interpreter services for judicial proceedings as well as communications between counsel and the parties, and any costs must be borne by the party using the interpreter.
